Bogotá, Colombia. Two German tourists, Maja (34) and Alexis (34), roam the city, avoiding confronting a breaking point in their open relationship: while Alexis wants to settle down and think about starting a family, Maja insists on living carefree. She wishes he were more adventurous. He wishes she were more grounded.

The tensions escalate at night, in a nightclub, where Alexis and Maja run into the guide of a Walking Tour, Jose (42). Provoked by Maja and eager to prove his adventurous side, Alexis accepts Jose's offer and snorts a line of cocaine for the first time. After losing sight of Maja and Jose, Alexis, now speeding and overwhelmed, spots Maja's wallet on the floor. But before returning it, Alexis notices Maja dancing intimately with a stranger – Toto (40). On impulse, Alexis pulls them apart. Amid pushing and struggling, Toto backs off, while Maja and Alexis argue: Alexis wants to return to monogamy, but Maja wants to keep the open relationship going.

The fight is interrupted when Maja realizes her wallet is missing. Alexis chooses to stay silent, and Maja concludes that Toto has stolen it. After unsuccessfully searching for the thief, Maja and Alexis run into Jose again, who, upon learning of the alleged theft, reacts indignantly. Jose gathers two friends and drives Maja and Alexis around in search of Toto.

As they drive through the empty streets, Alexis and Maja stay silent. Jose is beside himself, furious about the insecurity threatening tourism. As they turn onto an avenue, Maja and Alexis realize that Jose is aggressively holding a crowbar. Maja becomes nervous, but before she can say anything, the car stops: just a few meters away, in a dark street, Maja and Alexis spot Toto. “Is that the guy?” Jose asks. Maja shakes her head, frightened... but Alexis doesn't.

The next morning, Maja and Alexis get lost on a hike in the mountains and are left completely alone. Will they face the end of their relationship? Or will they embark on a new beginning?
